The BBC cannot forecast what is going to happen in 6 hours let alone 24+. We have been forecast rain every day this week and it has not really rained at all.

According to the berries on my plants and the direction of the Seagull droppings it will commence to rain at about 17.17 tomorrow afternoon. The Wind will be from a South Sothwesterly direction and will be a gentle breeze of between 21 - 30 mph.

It is expected to be nothing more than light rain here with a bit of a breeze. I suspect we won't really know until tomorrow because light rain regularly turns out to be nothing here on the coast. We have a climate like no other. This must be the driest part of the country. Peter, if you are concerned about the game being in doubt due to rain I wouldn't worry. There won't be enough to produce standing water even if we do get the forecast light rainfall.

Does anyone definately know if the drainage issue was resolved over the summer.I have a feeling i was'nt, and if pitch was going to be turned, you can't blame anyone for not making the expenditure .

We were lucky last season insofar as every saturday was dry until about March, and then we ran into the problem

The pitch should be ok as before it was raining for about a week and also because of the slight slope we have the staning water will run down to the corner. We will not get enough rain to abandon the game. We will need about 2/3 days of persistant rain for it to be called off and as far as i know the rain tomorrow is going to isolated.

MM.

Spoke to Ray about it in the summer. The contractors used the earth quake machine and cut in slots last May bank holiday. They put on 2 lots of top dressing including seed. Due to the dry weather this did not come through as expected hence the dust clouds off the players feet when dry. As i understand it (but will confirm with Ray, unless TeabarMark can clarify) the contractors are due back in October to use the earthquake machine again but at a greater depth.

Ah, my good friends, that is because Ray used a mixture of the finest desert sand ,camel dung and goat droppings to coat each grain of grass. This is based on and old and trusted recipe that we use to make Gulf Courses in Arabia.

I have it on good authority that Ray thought the Millwall game was a bit of a tall order. He believed the pitch was 4 weeks off of being ready when we played them! So given that he has done really well.

As for the weather I am hoping that the game for us will be a breeze!
