Just signed for Angels! Any thoughts?

 

When we played you at Longmead a couple of seasons back in a friendly, he was the best player on the park by a mile. Possibly the best left-back I have ever seen at this level...

He's a good player and will be a major asset to your squad. Tough Tackling and plenty of pace. Left Margate to move on to better things, seems like he's finally realised that this is his level afterall.

Good player but if he would return to Margate would be no better than 3rd choice left back behind Skins and Deano.

 

Must have a new agent as left us to go onto better things at Welling who then loaned him out to Eastboune Borough.

Why did it go bellly up at Thurrock then, which is where i think he was early season ?

 

At his best, a superb player and arguably imo ahead of Skinns and Dean.

 

Have not seen him play since his serious injury 12 months ago though.

 

You have to say that Angels are really going for it are'nt they .

That will change when you see Skinner for us play and Warren Ryan for Billericay, in my eyes the 2 best left backs in the league.

did`nt really rate him ,good for 1 game bad the next 2 , Ryan probably the best we`ve had but think Skinns will make that place his own in the long run.

Ryan is better as a central midfielder. Thats where he plays these days.

whatever position Ryan played ,always played his socks off for us , would still fit into the squad we have now.

IMO,Skinns is without dought the BEST full back we have had for a long time,if he can keep his cool he makes a great partnership with Jacko.

Do have to agree with Tony M that Skinns is as good as we have had for a while. Liked Oakes a lot when he first started with us but Skinns is better. Nice to see Mark Green about. He will no doubt be a good asset for the Angels.

I was wrong in my post above.

 

AS long as Skinns can perform like yesterday, he is ahead of Green .

 

Skinner impresses me as he is just an 'old fashioned' full back-does the defensive job, and does'nt think he is a wing back with the ability of Ashley Cole.

 

A defenders job at this level is too defend and Skinner does exactly that.

MG left us for reasons he has stated personally to certain fans. I believe it had more to do with regime, type of training and tactics than any thing else.

As for Warren Ryan my outstanding memory of him was towards the end of his short reign was, he didn't turn up, yellow cards and his near suicidal challenges . Leaving me to pray no one would get seriously injured. Saying all that the guy had serious talent, with a strait head he would have been great for us and, along with MG, had they stayed we would not have struggled so badly.
