My daughter has a keen interest in sport, watching Essex County Cricket and West Ham (on the tv). Looking for a winter sport and uable to afford WHUFC prices I took her to Billericay for the Staines game and she was hooked. Could see that we could become regular supporters. Would appreciate a quick run down on the ins and outs of supporting Billericay. Best players, sworn rivals etc (already picked up in the Chelmsford connetction).

cheers

Welcome

Favorite players? I think that is down to personal choice...Sworn rivals...Canvey Island and Chelmsford...

Perhaps we could interest you in membership to the club...costs £10 and allows you 50p off the gate admission plus discounts in the club shop. We also do youth membership for £3

Good for her! That is a refreshing change to read.

As Gazza has said favourite players tend to be down to individuals, (eg) a defender may not be as flair minded as an attacker but does a job that can also change games. Anyway, that aside hope you and your daughter enjoy any future visits to "The Accademy of dreams"

C'mon You Blues!

Thanks for the kind words. Having been to a few games now I have some more specific questions.

Is watching Billericay always as frustrating as the Carshalton game?

From the games I have seen this league looks very even. Is that a fair judgement?

Why is the fixture list so crap? Three home games in a row then none for a month!

Who's the oriental looking guy who's always warming up on the sidelines and has he ever got on?

Why Annie's song?

Can't go on Saturday (going to wath the last knocikings of the Essex cricket season) so good luck to the team against Hampton

Not always but a lot of teams do just stick 10 behind the ball when they come to New Lodge. I am expecting a better match against Hampton.

I think so. Could well be a bunch finish this season.

Because we've been drawn away in the FA Cup and the League Cup. Should we get past Hampton we may get a home tie on Sept 30.

Who's the oriental looking guy who's always warming up on the sidelines and has he ever got on?

San Lee..a forward..he has played once for the reserves.

Why Annie's song?

Don't know but it's class.

And good luck to Essex too.

1)Hahaha liked the first question! Like all teams, watching can be frustrating at times, but that is why we all keep on with it, for those times when it all clicks into place.

2)The league i think has the potential to be one of the tightest for a while. There are plenty of teams who can take points off one another.

3)Yep ! We had to go 80 odd miles on Tuesday down to Ramsgate in the rush hour. Same for all teams but do agree fixtures people are a different breed!

4)Do not know a lot about Lee personally, think he came via Sheffield United.

5)Twas born on a Tuesday night couple of seasons ago peeing with rain in Worthing and getting a sopping, hence the lines of "where-ever we travel" But in answer to you, we kind of borrowed it from a well known northern team. And word has it that there are only 2 clubs (one) professional and (one) non league who have this anthem!

Keith The fixture list is a difficult one for the League.

If we have a local derby on a Saturday, then we have a decent gate, the League is sympathetic to its member’s finances and they feel that it is more important to have the loical(ish) games on a Saturday whenever possible, I tend to agree with them.

Of course you could argue that you would get more far away travellers on a Saturday than a Tuesday.

But then the same would apply to the Local teams.

stringbok, our League is very difficult to get out of, just one auto up and one via play off. But there are three auto down and the possibility of a forth down as well. This is imo, a contributing factor as to why the league is so even.

But isn’t that the (even contest) way it should be?
