Council Meeting Wednesday 6 September

I would not read to much into this meeting. This is Rob and the Labour group making things difficult for Stokes and his mottly crew, Rob has called a few of these meetings to cause problems for the ruling group. Stokes as to maintain a majority and it means some of them coming home from hoildays or it could mean losing a vote. The Mayor as chairman will do his best to block any votes using procedure. This is somthing that Stokes did when he was in opposition and had no chance of winning any vote.

I've been told it may be to talk about why councellors have not acted apon their election promises. ie. Support of STFC

I'd heard that it was a motion to instruct Stokes to talk to the Trust, but Horsham's idea is just as relevant. Back in April /May, councillors were asked if they would proactivally help STFC return to Slough. Now might be a good time to remind those who said yes of their promise. A number of BILLD/Tories said yes, so should presumably support the motion (or is that being completely gullible?)

still would be good just to touch base at the town hall to show them we are still around and needing answers...and help (2 way help) - They with the football club as the king pin can and could received certain grants if as we have said all along if we make the project into a community project as well as a stadium...the sub committee are trying to put together plan of action and the correct and proper route to take with the council..so they can help us to find a site and then we as a community club try to find grants and possible private help (MD) to acheive a new community stadium for all of Slough .. (pie in the sky some might feel) but any other bright ideas around ???

will confirm more details when known...

Chris are there definate plans for a new stadium with Martyn Deaner on board?

We have heard nothing since the proposed idea to Colnbrook last season, is he still interested and is he involed in the "plan of action"?

we think he is still on board , why else would he pump another 200,000 pounds into this season..if he thought he may not succeed in getting something back ??
