I did it once before, when I went to the African Nations Cup in Egypt back in February and I remember paying an extra £150 to get a flight home at 4am in the morning on Saturday 11th February, landing at heathrow about 9:30am, for then my mum to pick me and my dad up from the airport and drive us straight up to the Kidderminister game!

Well for years now I've been trying to combine the two and it usually works, but of course not always. I buy a season ticket every season so at least the Fleet get my gate money even though I won't be their for this match <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

It helps for England home matches as members have 3 days to buy tickets before they go on general sale, which is then a free for all.

For any chance of England away, then it's yes you've got to be a member of the Supporters club, unless you can get Corporate tickets, (which is how I got to go to Portugal for the Euro 2004 campaign). Even then, for away matches, we only get a limited amount of tickets, depending on ground capacity, so it goes down to how many previous England games you've been to, like a caps system.

Don't worry, I'm always spreading the Fleet gospel on the Englandfans forum which is visited by fans of clubs up and down the country <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Maybe we should have an item in the programme in which supporters are asked what makes them follow fleet. Like a fan profile.

 

Be great to here Drummers most boring away trip (mine is a 0-0 between Liverpool and Coventry years ago). Best ground setc.

 

What makes Harry tick is another column. In which someone tries to discuss something with harry without it ending in an argument.

Does Fleetbabe take all the ideas for the programme? 'Cause that's a quality suggestion. The highlight would obviously be Kenny's one! Some people could tape an interview in the ground before the game, like 5 minutes of someone's time, then print it the next issue!
