This has to be one of the best opportunities for years for winning this league. Not just because we've got such a good squad, but also because there doesn't seem to be any other team in this league that are anything special.

 

Normally there's 1 or 2 teams that start to stretch away at the top of the league, but we're at the half way point and there are still loads of teams in it. Even Canvey are back in contention now (unfortunately).

 

Aldershot managed to open up a 7 point gap, but if you read through their message board they seem to have been playing crap, and no-one is particularly optimistic. All the messages seem to presume that they'll lose to Sutton on Boxing day.

 

We've been playing crap for ages (before Saturday that is) but are still right up there. If we could go on a bit of a run now (similar to the beginning of the season would be nice), then we'll soon catch Aldershot and open up a bit of a lead ourselves.
