Pulling in the crowds

Following on from the Horsham thread...

Our attendances so far at home this season have been dreadful (but not our away support which must be one of the best in the league)

Without a ground in Slough we will always be struggling to get many along so have to be inventive.

The kids for a quid for every game is excellent.

Chris Silski has said he is gonna try and get a leaflet translated into Polish, and posters are now going to be printed for people to put up around town.

Any other ideas of how to get people to come to games?

If the letter is going to be translated into Polish, I hope a better job of the overall design compared to the fixtures list that was handed out. If this is done it could be quite a successful idea.

Unfortunately, there is really only 2 guarenteed ways of bringing a crowd in to watch Slough:

1) Having our own ground - any news of a potential new ground hasnt be heard in over a year or 2.

2) Results on the pitch. While its pretty much the same people going week in week out, its hard for potential fans to want to come unless they look at the league and see Slough higher up the table. Which is unlikely to happen unless #1 is met to help improve the situation.

Also, what happened to the kids teams sponsored by the club? If they were to come to every home game and got free entry while bringing a paying parent theres the possibily of making new revenue there.
