Well, I'm at work for another 6 and a half hours today, and then four hours tomorrow morning.

 

I need 120 posts to reach the big 3,000. Can I manage it before Christmas I wonder??

 

As long as I'm kept stimulated with interesting chat (football, birds, music, booze etc.) I think I can do it!!

I was born right at the end of the 74/75 season - West Ham had just beaten Fulham in the FA Cup Final and Tammy Wynette was no.1 with "Stand By Your Man".

 

I see we finished six points behind Hampton - I pity any team who manage that this season!!

I've been trying to find out when St Albans and Spurs both had success in the same season!

 

Seems I have to go back to the 1950/51 season when Spurs won the league and Saints won the Herts Senior Cup.

yup i do believe the last team to escape the drop from being bottom at xmas was sheffield utd bk in the pre premiership days.. mind you being a fan of lots of promotion n relegation slots watching clubs bleat about having no money whilst paying players 50 k a week does make me chuckle
