Seventh Heaven!!!!! Edgware Town 7 - Holmer Green 0 !!!

Recommended Posts

Edgware felt left out having not played on Saturday and with four of the clubs scoring seven goals. Tonight we joined in the fun, by scoring seven ourselves. Holmer Green IMO were a bit better then Colney Heath last week, but they had no answer for an Edgware team in full flow tonight. We were a goal up within the first couple of minutes, and then never really looked back.

Three up at HT, through goals from Vince Risopli / Stuart Blackburne/Mark Buchanan. The second half was pretty much all one way traffic, Richard Morton scored a superb free kick, Stuart Blackburne added his second, when he out paced the Holmer defence superbly. He was taken off and replaced by Adam Wallace who himself scored a nice brace of goals, to make it a very comfotable win.

Holmer having won at Broxbourne on Saturday and narrolwy beaten at Chalfont who were top on opening day cant be that bad, we were just too good.

I still dont think we have hit top gear yet, the next three games should show juust how good we are, Kingsbury a Harefield and Hertford at home.

Here are some pics..

Are you saying that Hertford should be easy for us? I doubt it, both teams will be up for this game and will want to show what they are made of.

I dont know if there is extra time or penalites or replays if needed.

Hopefully it will be a repeat of last November when we put five goals past you

I think it will be a tough game, not going to make any predictions, (just check the prediction table to see how bad I am doing lol) but it should be a good game.

You going to take another pic of me?

LOL, I was having a look at the photos you took on the hertford site from the game at the wlg. I saw you put as a caption, a guy was looking out for Gavin, the pic was a lone guy behind the goal (usually me, but not in this case)

I had to work on Saturday's towards the end of the season. I WILL be there, and my mate may turn up, obvioulsy we will be outnumbered by the mass ranks of travelling Hertford fans, but we will have someone to sing to at least.

I will be writing articles in the programme about the FA vase. I am sure we will all meet up in the bar after the game:)

Evening Gavin - I don't know whether you purchased Non League today but here is the mention your midweek game got, if I have time later on I'll type out the whole thing on the Non League Paper thread but I'm still putting our programme together for tomorrow: Edgware Town moved two points clear at the top of the Premier Division table on tuesday evening. They crushed Holmer Green 7-0 to maintain their 100% start to the season. It took just two minutes for Town to edge ahead with a Vince Rispol goal. Further first half goals from Frank Buchanan and Stuart Blackburne saw Town reach the break well in command. The second half saw no let up in the home sides domination, Blackburne completed his brace, Adam Wallace scored twice and Richard Morton's goal ended the goal fest.

They are now on Mitoo.

I didn't realise you worked on the mitoo site, nice one.

I notice that Hertford have won both away games, but failed to win at home (including a cup game), do you think that is down to your style of play or is it just coincidence so early on in the season?

Horace did the Mitoo site, but he has been on holiday so I took over the updates.

As for the Home/away thing, I haven't a clue! We do play well on good pitches, and ours isn't the best. I hear Edgware is good, so am hoping for a good game in the Vase next Saturday.
