JK didn't like the ref yesterday...

Recommended Posts

Good eyesight Gazza. He did go over a few times but only complained when he thought he had been fouled and in my opinion a couple of them where 50/50.

Jeff thought that you deserved your draw but like any manager they are upset when a blatant decision does not go their way.(ie your first goal)

Lets not detract from a very good local derby by 2 of the leagues top teams. I think on reflection we are both happy to be unbeaten after 4 games.

The full interview with Jeff King is now on line at BBC Essex at this address.

Despite claiming not to be bitter on several occasions he comes accross as err... bitter?

Lot of stick to the league (who's name he forgets!) for sending a 21 year old ref.

Obviously I can't comment on the ref at the game as I wasn't there...

but what does Jeff expect? He's dropped down the leagues now, the referees are going to be worse than in the conf!

Also, I seem to recall us Billericay fans getting a slating from the Chelmsford fans for blaming referees a couple of seasons ago... I assume now the boot is on the other foot they'll be telling Jeff to shut up? Jeff has never been the most gracious of men when his team haven't won, you only have to look at the 4 letter tirade he aimed at Justin when we won @ C*nv*y a few seasons back to see that!

To be fair to the Clarets (did I just say that?) most of them, other than Foster, aren't buying it. They feel they have a genuine problem in closing games down when ahead that can't be blamed on poor reffing.

It will be interesting to see how JK copes with critiscism as the honeymoon period draws to an end. Did I read somewhere he banned the C****y Messageboard Owner from the the ground 'coz he didn't like what was being said?

Yes, in fact he banned all members of the unofficial Canvey website.

Fortunately he doesn't have that sort of clout at Chelmsford so he'll have to PUOSU!!!

I thought it was a great game, better than your average local derby and a terrific advert for non-league football. Both sets of supporters were entertained for a full 90 minutes and got value for money.

Both sides worked hard and 2-2 was, imo, a fair result

If I was to analyse the game a bit more, I would say that both Chelmsford’s goals had an element of luck, If you take into account that Danny Morgan had two gilt edged chances to put us in front, and in the dying minutes we had a chance to take all three points, but alas it wasn’t to be, But the Billericay view is, we had the better of the game. I’m sure the City faithful would see it different though.

To be fair to Jeff, I think the interview was done just after the final whistle, so he would rightfully be very disappointed with the final score, and probably aimed his frustration at the ref.

Its going to be an interesting season
