Doppelgangers?

A long history of playing in yellow and blue, the singing of "marching on together",the struggle to get fans through the turnstiles before kickoff, the struggle to get fans to fill the stadium and most tellingly, their respective starts to the season:

(Saints result first, Leeds result second)

Match 1 Won Won

Match 2 Drew Drew

Match 3 Lost Lost

Match 4 Lost Lost

Match 5 Won Won

Match 6 Oxford Wolves

I'd put a quid on 1-1 for both of them.

...and before anyone else dives in - "struggling in the league", "candidates for relegation"...

Just a thought.

OK, the comparisons stop here - but in that case who would you compare the Saints to? The matching run with the Saints will undoubtedly be broken tonight as a resurgent Sunderland beat the off-whites. It's going to be a home fixture for them too with their away support and local apathy. Think Saints v Oxford.

Basics - brings a fond tear to my eye, tho you always had to be careful of the, ahem, 'specialist' boozers in the immediate vicinity.....

I hope the Saints practice corners in training this week. Woking defended well, but you'd still fancy getting something from the number we won last night....at least it didn't rain until after the final whistle

Winstons....you know the place too well. Lee Sharpe was also rumoured to know it quite well during his spell at Leeds. Mind you, he was injured most of the time so the specialist physio treatments they offered may have helped his recovery.

Manc...when you've read the book, take the test: Manc or waank?

The matching run endeth. Though it was a 3-nil away win, much like the Saints 8th game....

Relegation here we come.....

No complaints from me. I think most pub teams could beat Leeds at the moment.

Leeds are away at Luton tomorrow and I've got my crowd to come to St Albans for pre-match refreshments en-route to the game. Given the woeful recent performances and the inevitable defeat thata waits us I'm going to see if I can talk them into visiting CP instead for the Grays match. Other than the higher quality football how do I sell this?

Anyone want to do a swap on 6 tickets for the match at Kenilworh Road? Maybe this could be part of a marketing campaign - bring a valid ticket for a concurrent match and get in free/half price?
