Not the end of the world imo.

 

I welcomed him for his brief 90mins as a sub. but as i posted previously i would have preferred Remy anyway.

 

As neither to be glad that RT is still after a striker.

 

Hope this is a bona fide striker ,rather than a wide man/midfiled cum winger type.

 

It did seem a bit odd to look at manny, when there were similar players already at the club in Robinson,JJ ,Sesay and arguably Yiga and BB who can all do the Manny type of role.

 

Imo we need a proper striker so when injured/ suspended/rested/ signed by Chelsea (clubs will be taking note of DH goalscoring achievements )the cover is there.

 

Personally, and despite on paper our apparent strength in midfield, i still feel that an injury and suspension would decimate us there.

Imagine how we would look if Protheroe was injured and Abbott suspended.

The engine room would be non existent.

Cant agree with you MM that Many was an inferior player to that of Robinson,(no disrespect as he has done well of late),Sesay (not shown or hasnt been able to shows us much,am dissappointed at that)or Yiga. Remy?,not in the same league surely?

Maybe Manny is a bit older now but still a class act for this league i.m.o. Still, we have difference of opinions on that,no problem.

I still think he would come in & do a fabulous job for us if called upon. Still, according to the interview he hasnt gone anywhere anyway yet so who knows.

Glad he has gone so the current crop of young players get a chance. He had his and by all accounts has done bugger all with it.
