the bronzes of riace were ancient bronze castings,symbols of the power of the Greek Empire.the ship carrying them sunk off riace in sicily.they stayed there for 2500 years till discovered and finely restored.in my younger days they used to call me like that till dissoluteness in enjoying the luxuries of life reduced me to a sumo fighter... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Unfortunately, I think Hookey's info is incorrect though - am on crutches at the mo and apparently damaged medial and anterior ligaments (which at my age is not good)

Really sorry to hear that Hunty. I asked Gary H at the Concord v Tilbury ressies game last night and he said you were doing ok, not great, but ok.

 

Maybe he was playing it down or maybe he wasn't aware of the extent of the damage. Either way it's sh*t news and I wish you a speedy recovery geezer.
