While you're here Mark I thought I would congratulate you on your "drum roll".Very entertaining that! More of the same please. I saw people applauding it on Saturday from over the other side of the ground. Great stuff!

Thank you Cookie that is most kind, I shall try to think of some moe atmospheric tunes I can play for the next away game. If only someone at home could drum like that. LOL!

lol, exactley if only, but until that person turns up sadly you have to put up with me attempting to drum. By the way i won't be attempting Marks Drum roll as he is probably the only person that could do it and i will fail miserably at it.

Good to hear Chelmsford are bringing a few.

Bit of a bu**er re: the weather forecast that says heavy rain in the area on saturday which will put a few off.

Abdullah-can you fix the weather for us please

Ah, my friend, you pose a matter that I can't sort out in a couple of Sheikhs!

"I am from a desert land, not use to rain but only sand, and though you think I'm very clever, fraid I cannot fix the weather!"

We will not get 1000 unfortunately and Chelms will not bring much more than Slough. I'll go for a draw 2-2 i think with acrowd of 842. Margate fans have always been obsessed with crowds. I am too.Cookie even counts them! When Jeff trice attended the crowd v Salisbury of 28 in 19?? it probably was quite easy. I thought last Sats crowd was nowhere near Thurrocks. What do i know. Can't make the game myself.

A draw would be good enough for me.

Unfortunately my prediction is a 3-1 loss.

I think where we have flattered to deceive in a few areas (well Cookie and i think so anyway even if no-one else agrees) and had most of the luck.

(before anyone starts ranting, that is not a criticism and we all agree that we are a vast improvement on last season, and whilst you never achieve perfection, there are imo a few basic things that need sorting still-it will come no doubt )

I think luck could turn against us tomorrow and we will lose ,albeit perhaps a bit unluckily.

I hope the team keep cool heads, as i have a feeling that at least one Margate player will see red tomorrow which wont exactly help.

Now i just hope that i am completely wrong and we achieve a great win without conceding.

If we do that, i will start to believe that'we have arrived',and my end of season prediction for 8th was too pessimistic.

Frankly i would rather see a rubbish match and a Margate win,but each to their own i guess.

Better still if the 'gate play well and win.

I have a horrible feeling that we will play well but not come away with anything.

For me, the result is all as thats what you read about at end of season, but understand how others look for different things

michaelmichael where is your soul?

Of course we all want it to look good on paper and to reach the highest level of football the Club can support.

But I also want to watch inspiring football, and for the players who wear the shirt to want to play their hearts out, and for the youngsters to want to aspire to play for their local team. The Conference and beyond beckons!

I miss the Conference - we played some cracking football against top notch opponents and got some great results. Well worth the ryals to get in win or lose!

Congratulations Margate, a well deserved victory.

I thought the referee was not that bad and got most things right. The lino in the second half the changing room side certainly used his flag alot and most of them only seemed to be around 5-10 yards inside the half way line. The ref cannot be blamed for his performance.

Your second goal I had timed at 52 minutes was there that much interuptions in the first half.

I know some have said that Chelmsford were below par, I believe that was because of the way you controlled the game.

The only downside I would of thought for you guys was your sending off, what a plonker let his teamates & fans down.

Again congratulations look forward to seeing you all latter in the season. I just hope that we can pick ourselfes up for Monday v Leyton.

I did warn you that I hoped the officials would not spoil it. Lets be honest at this level of football how often do we NOT talk about them, we just have to accept it & move on.

Thanks for your kind comments FG. You are certainly right re refs in this league, just something we have to put up with as you say. Yes Standen was silly to retaliate the way he did but hope he will have learnt his lesson.

Good luck tonight & rest of the season (apart from when you play us of course!)
