V Alty. Video Clips

Usual amateur offerings.

Usual apologies for my twin brother's gimpish celebrations (including crediting Charlie's 1st to Luke), my own inability to zoom in for the 2nd & for the geezer in front of me, who insisted on jumping up at just the wrong moment. His wife will be leaving him if he's that premature with everything he does.

Great stuff! Graham you are a giant in the world of multi-media. How you manage to watch the game, capture these details and text me updates is becoming a modern day miracle. I can only ever manage to text mono syllables (badly!) during games. It's very much appreciated all the same!

Cheers mate!

The Profane Wife says something very similar, albeit with a rather different spin. Re-arrange these random phrases & add the odd conjunction to catch the general drift:

how the hell

never manage multi-tasking at home

exchanging texts with your sad mates*

videoing at same time

do you get to see any of the bloody game anyway?

*Apologies on her behalf to your good self, Carlisle Mike, Pat & Sue, through whom I get to follow the fortunes of Huddersfield, Carlisle, Crystal Palace & Welling, as well as the Fleet, most match days.

Actually, the videoing is done via a tiny Canon digital which will record video clips. I just point it at the goal & hope when anything looks promising, without using the viewfinder & spoiling my own view of the action, although sometimes the club doc nearly cops a lump of metal in the side of the head. I save the texting for the time that elapses after a goal. If there's a quick re-start & another goal looks likely, I can get caught napping (& the doc's ear is more at risk.) I find during tense games all this activity stops me getting too stressed out.

What a change to see the Fleet, cast in the role of the more technically accomplished team, catching hard-working but ultimately naive opponents napping with 3 snappy & clinically taken goals.

Maybe not...maybe the Oxford game will be the one where a few more go as, if Oxford go straight back up as it looks like, then might be the only time we go there ( unless we go up too !!....cue again miserable old gits getting out of their bathchairs !!)

Cheers,

Come now, Graham, years of watching the Fleet, what are the odds on this? Unless it's an opposition goal! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

When you're as clutsy as me with texting & also insist on correcting all typos & never using annoying abbreviations, the 8 minutes between our 1st & 2nd on Monday was quite quick enough for me thanks.
