it says in the non league paper, he clashed with a chelmsford player after the defender appeared to foul hodgey in the penalty area. (sounds a bit like diving).

Agree with Martin. Bit of a strikers Grave yard Slough is. How many 'Top' strikers have come here and failed? Only Westie (GOD), Hodges, and Matt Murphy Have ever really done the Business for us..............don't say Morrys Scott!

Very Good!

Ansil got roundly booed by most supporters (most of the time)and I used to stick up for him in the fanzine. BUT he wasn't a big name striker.

Tony boot was often heckeld by supporters, and was not a big name signing.

Andy Sayer, good as he was , was never prolific.

Gary Abbot got a lot of stick, and hardly ever scored away, never did it for us whilst being a big name(always outshone by Lloyd and West effort wise)

Winston, good shout , but manager cocked him about and he left, good when he played.

Paul coombs big name never did it.

Dodgy davies banged him before and after us. As did adekola. Corey Browne!

Lloyd, became a name at this club, we did not sign him as a big name!

Agreed Ansil Bushay was an absolute joke and couldnt hit a barn door.

 

Diagree with you about Boot and Andy, who i think were both v good strikers...

 

Admittedly neither as prolific as Hodgey BUT!!!!

 

If you are saying this Hodgie looked appaling when he first started playing for us.

Didn't Ansil get his fair share with Westie when they knocked on 60+ goals between them that 1 season in Ryman before we went back up to Conference?

44 goals from 94 appearances isn't a bad record. The one thing I remember about Ansil was him pretending to jump for a header, then ducking and running round the defender as if he was going to miss it. I don't think that ever worked.
