passes us by...

 

poor facilities..much whinging by blazers...refreshments not available until 15 minutes before the game...I never saw one burger being eaten...our officials being harrassed about smoking in an area clearly not marked either way...one of our players sons being berated and made to pay....complaints about our young urchin fans singing anti aveley songs...

 

sadly not so good....

 

by the way I see that the gate was announced at 279 but I counted at least 400 in there today....either someones hiding some cash or else the 'gate increase protestors' found a way in.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I did my usual crowd count prior to the start and there were over 300 in the ground, with a lot more still coming in.

 

At half time I estimated about 350 inside the ground. Analysis was as follows - in the seats 150, in front of the terraces 150. behind the Urchins goal 40, behind the Aveley goal ten. There were of course more than that, as I did not go into the bar area to count them.

 

Regretfully there were no teas or food on sale inside the ground.

there were well over 400 in there today daggsy....

and the facilities for refreshments were a disgrace at 8 quid a head....

i saw the barman open up the gate behind the goal and let in about 10 local kids for free. still, got to make sure the players families pay...

 

we also saw some alternative entrances and saw people utilising them.

 

i paid, but protested by not buying any raffle tickets. ooh, what a rebel i know, but i normally shell out a fivers worth whenever we go away...

ah well that explains it all then....200 got in free and the aveley reputation for announcing honest and accurate gates remains intact...
