Yes the sooner the Northfleet end of the ground is finished the better, if for no better reason then to get rid of the drummer

See, the idea of bringing the drum to the games, all started from the clubs point of view, not me personally. The club wanted a drum to get more atmosphere down the ground, so we got one and it works. The fans around me at the the home games so far this season have been brilliant, young or old and therefore, the drum will stay at GNFC....regardless of no Northfleet end or low crowds.

I agree, yes things will probably will be better when the Northfleet end is open but it isn't yet is it, so we don't have much choice on where the crowd can go.

We have played some teams this season that don't neccessary attract big gates, but when the likes of Oxford come to Stonebridge Road, you think of the atmosphere that day!!

So my point has beeen put across and I think some will hopefully agree with me, we keep the drum.

That sums it up! I love being next to the drum for the full ninety minutes, singing for the Fleet, alot of others do too, and so do the squad. There isn't much of an argument against the drum- if there is, let's hear it!

The argument is simple, some people like the drum and some don't, when it was behind the goal people who didn't like it didn't stand there, because the Wallis Park end has been closed the drum has been forced to move to a part of the ground where people who don't like it stand.

Personally the drum doesn't bother me but thats probably because I don't stand close to it. I have moved away from it at a couple of away matches, it wasn't a problem I just stood somewhere else but at home everyone has their own favourite place to watch from and I can understand why people wouldn't want to move.

When the work is completed the drum can go back behind the goal and everyone will be happy again.

It's not an issue and the people who stand around the drum have a brilliant time, especially if were winning. But the whole atmosphere would be so much better at the Plough End and I can't wait for it to be completed!

That way, the miserable gits get there way, we get ours and the players get theres!

Will you be able to stand behind the seats??? as working it out roughly the new seating area will be the approx same size as the main stand as it is now, if they keep to the same seats per row etc.to keep it uniformed. but I do expect to be corrected on this.

I was wondering the same..... it won't be easy to bang a drum sitting down. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Remind me someone why are we installing seats?

Oh yes because it was cheaper than the repairs needed to make the terracing safe for standing.
