Slough Town 1-3 Horsham

Having got my rant over and done with yesterday....

I spoke to Woody before the match, and he showed me a lump the size of a cricket ball on his ribs, where he got "hit" at Margate late in the second half.

For someone carrying that kind of injury, which must hinder you movement, he played really well.

The difference between Harrow and the other games has been how the midfield have played. In all of the matches, apart from Harrow, they have been sucked back into a position a few feet in front of defence. Leaving the middle of the field to our two stikers and most of the opposition.

I think that with more training and practice this will happen less as the season goes on, which should mean we can control the game much better.

We as fans must also do our part and continue to cheer the players on. (As happened on Monday)

This bloke seems to have the right idea our 2 up frontare no good. and i see Martin agrees too no room in his line up for lego & anney.

My line up is what I thought Eddie would be playing based on pre-season. I think Gibson was the best of the three strikers who played on Monday. That said against Harrow and Margate I thought Odihambio was our star man up front.

I find it strange that we felt there was no room in the squad for Metcalfe this season particularly when Wilko is already having to play a full ninety minutes in August.

Is there room in the squad/budget for any new signings?

Agree with Gary. Glynn seems to be busy trying to play a world class defence splitting pass all the time, strutting, trying to take on too many palyers,or (his favourite)arguing. YES, he can play, Yes he can pass.but he isnt. Simple passes DO work! So lightweight up front. How bad do we Need a Hodgey or even better, a Matt Murphy? Who can we afford though? Think Woody has been playing very well so far, as has Jarvis. Now for something I thought I would never say........... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> we Missed Alexis in midfield on Monday.

Just frustrating, seeing us play against Harrow, and 50 minutes against Margate, then to watch that crap Yesterday!

It's easy to tell a group of fans to keep their chins up but I seriously hope that you can do just that and turn it all around - It's early doors and theres so much to play for. I sympathise with your ground predicament and I fear that Horsham may soon be in the same boat. From what I have seen so far Hendon are a very poor side and will struggle badly.I hope you bring a few to Queens Street later in the season -you are a good bunch.Keep the faith
