i dont get to many away games due to my job but 10 goals in our first 2 away games i am thrilled to have had the privilage to been standing with my fellow fans at worthing and today in the pi*!ing rain watching what i believe(barring a few defensive errors which need looking at)a top 2 or 3 finishing margate team.

Bring on the chelmsford great atmosphere today to i have lost my voice and have brain ache!!!

Cracking game, and a goal fest, and Scotty was TOWERING in goal.

But Folkestone had a good many chances, and we may come a cropper against sides with a better finish unless we shore up defensively.

That having been said, nothing can take away the joy of watching a winning side, and a good footballing side, which is what we have.

Lovely afternoon.

Pinnock's goal outstanding. Well, actually, they all were.

Good to see Paul Egan on the road to recovery.

Looks like we are in agreement then June re:defence. Have just posted similar on another thread. My man of the match was Scott closely followed by Pinnock & yes again I agree his goal was outstanding.I omitted to mention that. 30 yds out wasnt it.? I was in the stand and was right behind his shot & believe me it was a goal once it left his foot. Yep, a nice day, a nice result but as like yourself concerned when the "big boys" come down.Defending like that will give early christmas presents to them for sure. But for now I wollow in a great result.

Well, if we have thought it, Tony, no doubt Trotty will have considered it too. I reckon the lads will raise the bar when faced with opposition that might challenge them for the big prize.

We really need to beat Chelmo next week to believe that we will be there or thereabouts next April.

But for now, 10 out of 12 will do me fine.

Yes Trotty stated that he was talking to two players. Told radio Kent that the result flattered us and that we won because we took our chances better than them. No doubt about it though, there was some great passing football out there today.

What I like about Trotty is that he speaks the truth! We were clearly the better side but we took our chances, and Scott played well. So in that respect the result did flatter us.

However it should cause a few raised eyebrows for the likes of Chelmsford!

Abdullah the Gate!
