Whata bunch of bad F**king losers, get used to it. Canvey are not big time anymore and welcome to the real world. You will lose more than you win this year you are a poor side compared to the top of the table teams. better learn to deal with it you sad bast**ds.You need some sprit .get out your CanveyWorld

What did they expect from a team that lost two back to back league games 0-4, come out and bend over?

He is not worthy of a second thought, doesn’t even have the balls to name his team.
What we have to consider is that a bulk of our lads are ex-reserve team players and that is (even at this level) awake up call when playing for league points.
They have to understand it’s a ninety-minute game with concentration required for every one of those minutes.
We have as much talent per player as the teams we are losing to but lack focus and first team education, we have been caught on numerous occasion flat at the back due to dosing off (2 chs must play in tandem, one tight the other drops off to cover) and we go flat footed when the attack is directly down the middle.
John needs time to sort the problems that are exposed in the real games (not obvious in friendly’s) and we may need to expect a gradual set of improving results and not a romantic flyer back to the big times.
To our credit we still attempt to play “on the floor” and the future does look bright.

crowd was ok but the young lads have got to learn quickly how to beat teams in this league.they never got out of the first gear yesterday.

Absolutely right there Ribbit. How many other clubs in this league have won the FA Trophy and spent two seasons in the Conference?

Hornchurch and all the rest can think what they like but Canvey are bigger than any team at this level (and the Ryman Premier) in terms of major trophies won and success on the field.

In terms of recent history we are the biggest club at this level but that doesn't give us the God given right to expect us to walk this division.

 

Weymouth and Aldershot spent years trying to get out of their leagues. Both could quite easily play at Football League level with the support they get.

We were the best side in our division last season - The Essex & Herts Border Combination League! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/roflmao.gif" alt="" />

 

This season we're just one of the regular lower league folk and probably will be for the next couple of seasons.
