I was born and brought up on Canvey, moved to the mainland about 14 years ago. My son went to school with Rick Wiseman so thought I would come over and see him play and for the first time support my home team. I watched one of the freindly games and really enjoyed it so came over to watch today, but must say I was very dissapointed with the game. A good first half by Canvey and playing with the wind in the second half was looking forward to a good Canvey win!!

It seemed to me that as soon as an outfield player was in goal (wot no keeper on the bench)the team expected to lose and then went on to fulfil the prophercy.... Very scrappy game with Tilbury not really trying to play football and a ref with no bottle as he should have awarded a penalty in the first minute. Will I come back? Possibly as I did enjoy the burgers..
