For those of you who are "desperate" for a midweek footie fix, a friendly has been arranged at Thames Road tomorrow evening (Tues 29th) KO 7:45pm.

 

Concord want to have a look at a few triallists and have invited a Tilbury XI to the island. Tilbury in turn will be made up of mostly ressies with 4/5 first team squad members.

 

As I said, only if your desperate!!!

So much much for Concord fielding "Triallists", there may have been one or two but in the main it was near enough a full strength side.

 

The half time AND full time score was 2-0 to Concord, but don't let the score-line fool you, Concord won this at a canter and it was only a combination of poor finishing and resolute defending that kept the score at 2-0. Danny Heale was different class, even though he cruised it. Scored 1 and made the other.

 

Tilbury for their part fielded a team of which half of them could still play Eastern Junior Alliance (Some at U16s) so it was by no means embarrassing. A couple of first team squad players got a run out, including Harry Stevens, Paul Talbot and Jack Main.
