WHY are there no SSML prem games today?????

Recommended Posts

Surely a bank holiday Monday 3pm KO, would have brought in some decent crowds. Instead there is a full set of midweek games. I dont mind, I just think that if the clubs had played today, they would all have good decent crowds. The Southern & Isthmian have full league programmes today.

Gavin - We're of the old School of thinking I'm afraid mate unlike the majority of people these days, some morning kick offs today, such as in the SSML Division 2 where there is a full programme, would have more than trebled some average crowds as opposed to people struggling to games from work tomorrow night. Take the Biggleswade v Langford derby for example and Broxbourne v Haringey, they would virtually be full houses if played today.

I'll be interested to get Lato and Potters Bar Town's expert and old school views on this particular issue of SSML Premier Division games on bank holiday Monday and why this strangely isn't the case.

Maybe the SSML have seen that everyone else is playing on Monday so to give their clubs a crowd boost they switched the programme to Tuesday?!!?

More realisticaly they had this scheduled as a midweek night and never thought to move games. They aren't very progressive regarding that sort of thing. For instance Rhodes I might be wrong but didn't we play at your place (Haringey that is) on the Tuesday after Christmas as opposed to the Bank Holiday Monday (although Tuesday may well have been a bank holiday too!)

Lato - Speaking of that I see you are visiting Coles Park on Tuesday 5 September for a league fixture, I bet my ears will be burning that evening.
