Leyton Pennant match

Yesterday summed us up quite nicely - were so inconsistent it's unbelievable! We win against Canvey, Hampton, Northwood but lose to Tilbury and draw with Wembley. Why?

 

Anyway back to yesterday it would have been no exaggeration if we had got double figures. Daly and Winston hit the post. Their keeper made about 5 top class saves and the ref turned down a penalty even though the linesman gave it!

 

Having Winston and Boot up front seemed to help. They are a good partnership. Leyton Pennant must have been relieved when Sammy went off, but then Byron came on and he was excellent as well.

 

I know the opposition were not that strong, but it's good to get a decent win.

 

The Boxing day match could be one of the most difficult of the season. Yeading can beat anyone on their day and should be doing better. They seem to score goals for fun so the defence will have to be at it's best.
