I was very impressed with our opponents today....their attitude before the game and the respect they showed to our staff and officials and our club was very professional....

 

their performance on the pitch was excellent and they can consider themselves unlucky to leave empty handed....the players and management were polite and a breath of fresh air and we all hope and trust that they enjoyed the day at the stadium ....they will be around in april for sure...

So did we the two times we beat them but they got their revenge in the end.

 

I had to put up with a couple of their supporters at a few speedway meetings over the summer but even they were decent people.

Thanks Unc for the kind words, although I would have prefered the three points.

 

Our management duo of Steve Pitt and Steve Wignall set themsleves and the team high standards, and this is reflected in the players conduct both on and off the field.

 

You deserved the points today, but we could have made things uneasy for you if one of the efforts that struck the woodwork had gone in.

 

Personally I think that any side that finishes above you this season will be picking up the silverware, you have a very good side and wont be staying at this level for too long.

 

Good luck at Biggleswade next week, and we look forward to entertaining you at Broad Lane next April in what hopefully will be a top of the table clash
