Who was your first half man.o.t.match then Chris? l.o.l.. Was there one?

Their no.10 who kept turning our defenders and winning free kicks, or possibly the ref for his comedy tumble and interception, and the longest blast of a whistle I have ever heard.

Standen replaced him & in a short while got stuck in.Good on him.

Cookie praising Standen?? Wake me up someone!

I say it as I see it Chris & that will not change.
I dont put players down because I dont like the look of them & I wont praise players just because they are "nice chaps". Thought I'd get a mini response to that one. Thank you Chris.

I thought we looked shaky in the first half, and that the midfield service was not as good as we have seen to date. We also played too far back in the midfield.

Dan Wisker may have potential, but is not the finished article yet, and I thought he looked a bit out of his depth in the first half.

Robinson on the other hand looks the real deal, and when he came on the game changed for the better.

Jimmy is fabulous, and his goal was brilliant - what a left foot. MOM, all the way through to the end of the match.

Donovan had a very good game today, and he saved us on the line, for which we should all be grateful, as although it was a win, I could not say it was a completely convincing one. Second half was good though.

I mention Greg in dispatches, he played extremely well.

But a win is a win is a win, we are second in the table, so happiness reigns supreme in the Hall household tonight.

Roll on Monday!

Real gritty performance in the second half and very impressed with the balance of the side in that period. Robinson made an impact. Hopefully McKimm gets well soon. Standen was ok when he came on and a better bet than Wisker at this moment. Dan has ability as he showed in glimpses but we really need someone who can win the ball better in central midfield. He has time on his side and could do with being nurtured.

Defensively we were more solid although Slough weren't great going forward. We're not firing yet but 7 points out of 9 aint bad.

Special mentions to Pinnock, Jackson and Oates for getting back to the Greg Oates we saw when he first came here slowly but surely. Protheroe too was very good. Donovan also. Great finishes for the goals.

Just realised that we went ahead after 55 minutes-did well to hold onto a one goal lead for nearly 40 minutes.

We nearly always concede again .

Wonder when last time we held onto a one goal lead for that long was.

We have not done it often in the past.

Its little things like that which show progress to me-
