Rhodes
Sadly this is becoming an issue that is spoiling the Forum for all of us genuine SSML diehards and I have approached Ian, as have a number of other people, to say that he needs to act immediately. If he is not banned by this evening by 5.30 when there will clearly be a lot of activity on here following today's games I will involve the police, I have friends in high places in that department, ie Sir Ian Blair, as I feel there is a sinister side to BewareofRhodents where the word 'sex' has already mentioned, okay I mention it all the time but not on here. Seriously though folks I'll get it sorted for you and we can get back to bantering about our respective Club's, I'll send the Police in the direction of Coles Park if need be to flush the idiot out, 'flush' being the appropriate word in this case. Hookey
Rhodes me old mate, don't know why you keep rising to the little turd's bait. If we start barring people because of their irritating posts, where will it end? Just ignore the twat, it'll drive him nuts. Treat him as being invisible. His Username should be "THRUSH" because he's an irritating [****!!****]!!!!
HTFCew
The odd irritating post was easy to ignore, but spamming the board is not. Having said that it was not very sensible of Rhodes to reply to every single one of his posts and thus becoming a spammer himself.
Rhodes
Hookey - Many thanks for this however I have taken it personally which normally I wouldn't do and I will make the guy pay if it's the last thing I do. Furthermore he is spoiling the Forum for all of us genuine non league football fans which isn't fair and he needs to be got rid of (like a rhodent infact). Thanks for your post by the way, were you at the Bowers v Haringey Borough game last Saturday, good luck in the next round against Dunstable Town. Rhodes
HTFCew - No good point, apologies for that as I wasn't thinking straight. Anyway I have sent the following PM to Ian so hopefully he will act by 5.30 today, if not I will involve the 'old bill': Hi Ian You will have seen my latest post on the SSML Forum updating people on the BewareofRhodents problem. I'm afraid that if he is not excluded by 5.30 this evening, and the dozen or so pointless threads that he created last night not deleted, I will have no option but to involve the police, I work for Central Government and know key individuals at New Scotland Yard on a personal level including the Commissioner Sir Ian Blair. I'm really sorry to hold a gun to your head on this one but I feel there is a somewhat sinister side to the individual who doesn't seem interested in football in the slightest and surely has not fulfilled all of the 'membership' criteria. Can you let me know your intentions before I leave for football today about 12.00. Many thanks and sincere apologies that I have had to go down this road, I admire the work you do on this site which is hugely popular with 'the real' football fans and it is a reflection on society today that there is always one individual to spoil things. I hope you don't mind but I felt it appropriate to cc this PM onto the SSML Forum for information as well as warning BewareofRhodents that he needs to refrain from posting these pointless messages, if he does know me or knows me from other people, possibly in the corridors of power at Coles Park, he will know that I mean business. Hookey
Listen Fellas, I know it's difficult to ignore such hostile & personal posts, but it really is the best way to get back at him. Rhodes, HTFCew is right, you responding to every single one of his repeated threads was not wise, if understandable. You just played right into his hands. Even this reply from me will be massaging his ego, so it will be my last on the subject. Re the Bowers/Haringey Boro game, I wasn't there as I was watching my son (Played for Tilbury Res) but I'll be there today. Good luck to all SSML teams for the season. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/top.gif" alt="" />
Rhodes
Hookey - Thanks for this and point taken however if he's permanantly excluded, which hopefully he will be by 5.30 this evening, then we will have the last laugh and not him. It has been noticeable that the SSML Forum has not been the same since he came onto the scene and clearly individuals who are hell bent on spoiling things for others enjoyment, and in a sinister fashion, should not be tolerated in any way shape or form. Therefore I feel this is the best way forward for all concerned, apart from perhaps BewareofRhodents who will get what's coming to him. Shame you missed the Bowers v Haringey game by the way, I gather from Smallsy, who posts on here, that the celebrations at the end were like they had won the Champions League. HTFCew
I was one of probably many to report this person to Ian last night, so hopefully he will be gone soon. If not, I suggest we don't even bother to read his posts in future.
Hookey
I got back to the Bowers bar by around 5:00pm and the place was buzzing. I think the celebrations was due to it being the first time we had progressed in 7 years. Also the thought of Dunstable Town coming to Bowers & Pitsea, with all their colourful history, Barry Fry & George Best etc. Spoke to Smallsy in the bar and he was delighted with the result. Lato
Rhodes, must agree with the advice you were given regarding the pointless posting of your nemesis. How did kentish Town get on today?
Rhodes
Lato - Yes I have already acknowledged that it was a little naive of me however 'we' won in the end and the nutter is no more, as I said I was prepared to go right to the top if I had to and I'm glad Ian got the message. You mean you really want to know how Kentish Town got on today, I should leave you in suspenders and keep you guessing but I won't be so cruel, we won 2-0 without really breaking sweat. Lato
Good result. When will you be playing at Claremont Road or will you be endeavouring to play each 'home' game somewhere different?
Rhodes
So you heard about the kerfuffle we're currently having with Hendon, they say we can play there on 9 September when we're due to meet New Bradwell St Peter and hopefully from then onwards but I have had to switch our 'home' Challenge Trophy tie to Biggleswade United's ground on 12 September just to be on the safe side. We played our game at Sun Postal Sports ground today and the facilities were really good with a Wembley like pitch to suit our style, don't worry I won't mention Brazil 1970 as it seems to be like a red rag to a bull to you. Lato
I didn't realise there was a kerfuffle (Now there is a word I'd like to see that used in a match report more) with Hendon. Your ridiculous hyperbole is the red rag for me Rhodes. And knowing your liking for the Brazil team of 1970, I asssume when you talk of Wembley style pitches you mean of the same era (check out the Chelsea v Leeds FA Cup final and Swindon v Arsenal League Cup in 1969!)
