Changing Rooms

Good to see the players now using the nearside changing rooms. The local paper suggests this was done to strike a lucky omen but I think it must be safe to say that it has been done to allow our players to get the ovation from the off in front of the players own supporters when they come out. This is something some have been asking for for a long time now, even when CK was here & I hope it is done on a regular basis now & that the welcome they should get because of it helps them get out of the blocks quickly. If this was the idea of the manager then good on him for realising the advantages that the players can get from doing so.If it was a one off then I hope they adopt the policy again.

Also, with the toss up of the coin too it generally means the team facing down usually but not always, end up playing into their own fans(the majority) clubhouse end in the second half. For me this has been a long time coming & if it improves results & the players appreciation of us at the onset then it may well end up as a lucky omen after all.It must be appreciated I'm sure to hear us cheering them to death to start with(not literally of course)when & if they indeed adopt this policy. It must surely help them get off to a flying start knowing that so many are there appreciating them. Together with the "Blues" song they should get a good lift to start with & that can only be good. Every advantage should be given to the home team unlike last season.A great idea, long overdue & I hope it works out to our advantage. It didnt on Tuesday but it nearly did but can do tomorrow. What are your views on this,if any?. Do you agree, disagree or just couldnt care less? Do you believe it helps or not or dosent it make one iota of diffence? i.y.o

It is much better that we can see the lads warming up nearer to the clubhouse end, and also there is a better atmosphere when they run out at the start. If I recall, it is something we were asking for last season, and it is a good move.

Knowing how superstitious players can be, I might have wondered how changing the dressing room may have affected them, but seeing as we have hardly any players left now from last season this is probably an irrelevance.
