Austrian German. Its like American English. After researching my Family tree over the summer and finding out that my great great Grandfather was from Germany I hope to learn the language and visit the country.

'Dialect' would probably be a more apt word to describe 'Austrian German' than 'language' is.

 

It's essentially the same language, with a few differences, like saying 'Grüss Gott' instead of 'Grüss dich' when greeting someone.

Yeah but that's the same as "American English", our language is not exactly the same but they have put their own slant on it which is what the British have done with many difference languages for centuries.
