Rhodes
Quote: Maldini66 said: Rhodes give it a rest. How can you even mention Tak in the same context as these great players. You are talking out of your backside. Wait and see if he can play at a higher level before spouting off, He is playing for a team that is near the bottom of the league perhaps he is not as good as you think Maldini - Er I wasn't comparing those players to Takumi, I was merely saying that I have watched all the old greats in the flesh unlike you youngsters on here so I like to think I know what I'm talking about. It's hardly Takumi's fault that Hendon are near the bottom of the league, he was out injured for the first game against Tonbridge I think it was, came on as substitute at Hampton scoring a wonder goal and was again substitute at Horsham coming on to score a 30 yard volley. I'm not sure if he started against Leyton on Monday but doesn't that say it all.

As for being a youngster, Born in 66 my friend Watched some greats and played against a few aswell.
Rhodes
Maldini - That's interesting but I beat you by seven years, you were probably seven in 1973 when you attended your first game when I was already a veteran of some 200 games and had a season ticket at Arsenal since 1968. Sorry that must make you an expert then, A gooner from Tottenham says it all really. Do you still follow the reds? if so you might have seen me play a few years ago
Rhodes
Maldini - No I stopped following the Gooners in 1975 when I started to watch Bristol City of all teams as I had some mates who played for them. As you were probably playing for Arsenal during the 80's I doubt I will remember you unless you were in the First Team but you can PM me your real identity if you like and I will check my records as all the games I attended are meticulously logged with line ups etc, er I'm not an anorak though. Rhodes
Rak - Did you have a game on Saturday. We're finally playing at Hendon this Saturday against New Bradwell St Peter, I think the problem has been sorted out. May see you at training on Thursday. neutralbob
from hendon website, just about sums him up in my book: Takumi especially on occasions will get his head down and beat three men, end up on the wrong side of the pitch and no better off than he was before he started. Most of that, I suspect, is lack of experience. Corners I'd certainly agree with. We've got to beat the man at the near post more often. Also, another one that I'd add, and this is sadly mostly specific to the player I've already mentioned, is to stop diving and making a meal of challenges. It wins us very little and cost us the use of Taks for most of the second half yesterday plus gained him a "boy who cried wolf" booking yesterday. Booked the time he actually slipped for diving. Rhodes
No doubt the likes of Lato and Potters Bar Town will have a field day with this but it seems a little harsh to me coming from his own Club's Website, if Takumi reads it he won't be overly impressed. Not having a field day, Rhodes. Just wondering how many different sources you have to hear the same opinion from before it starts sinking in. Coffin Ender
Takumi was taken off after an hour or so of last night's 0-0 v Ashford. It's gonna be a long old season for Hendon, not the best circumstances for someone like him to shine.

Rhodes
Quote: neutralbob said: he was poor last nite Well that's a first then although Lato apparently saw him have two below average (by his standards) games for Haringey against Ruislip Manor last season and no doubt Potters Bar Town will say he was poor in the pre season friendly at Parkfield. I really don't know why everyone seems to enjoy getting on the poor guys back.
