Rhodes
LATO - You make a fair point however five years ago Oxford United inserted a 25% sell on clause when Dean Whitehead was sold to Sunderland for

Lato
I think it would as in all the cases you cite and in most examples the sell on clause is only valid between the initial two clubs. i.e in this case if Takumi Ake was playing for Hendon and moved for a fee to Stoke then Haringey would be entitled if arranged to a fee. THAT is the crucial difference as I don't think Team Bath and especially Newport County would be interested in him having once played for Haringey. Mind you its all hypothetical as despite his display Stoke have not made an offer. Don't forget Sunday BBC 2 at 9pm.

Rhodes
An article from the South Wales Argus that would indicate Takumi is going places, Dean Holdsworth seems to think he is the best thing since sliced bread and he should know having played with the best: http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/sport/4462353.Deano_signs_Japanese_striker/

Correct, and even then it wouldn't have applied. Takumi was non-contract at Hendon, and anyone could have snapped him up with a seven day approach. For someone with so much experience of running a non-league football club, Rhodes can be pretty damn naive at times!
Rhodes
Some of you may not be aware that, sadly, Takumi Ake was injured early on in the season for AFC Newport and has missed virtually the entire campaign. The good news however is that the best player in Haringey Borough's history will be back in action shortly to be very much part of the Club's promotion run in to the Conference: http://www.the-exiles.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11482&sid=e63dc07c96e0e0004e2d3d76863afaa6
