Horace
Don't you check another's results section then? Lato was just testing your resolve. It saddens me to see so many clubs taking guest clubs as their lodgers these days. I know why they do it, but the pyramid is filling up with these homeless clubs. Rhodes
Horace - Is that supposed to be a dig at Southill Alexander by any chance.
Horace
No it isn't Rhodes. It's nothing to do with me whether Biggleswade Town want to sublet their ground to another club, and it's nothing to do with me if a group of people want to create a new club with no foundations. I was just saying that it saddens me that so many homeless clubs are flourishing in the pyramid proper.
Lato
I think Marlow United like a lot of clubs embarked on groundsharing as a way of climbing the pyramid as their facilities were deemed to be inadequate to match their ambitions. Like you Horace I do find it a little disconcerting though.

Rhodes
Rak - Will you be going, I suppose you didn't get to Bishops Stortford last Tuesday to see him, I heard it made that Liverpool v Newcastle game from 1996 seem like a dull affair with Bishops Stortford winning 4-3 with the last kick. RH1
Yes I will be going. Should be a good match! What about you?

Wader
I have to admit to not seeing Titanic either. The ending was was always going to be spoiled a bit as we all know that the Iceberg did it - unless of course for dramatic effect they changed that bit. Rhodes
Really, I have to say I'm surprised by that. Anyway I better rush as I'm off to Tokyngton Manor v Royston Town, I thought you might have been thinking of attending but I guess you can still get there for kick off if you're posting from home. Rhodes
I note that a Takumi Ake inspired Team Bath beat Dorchester Town 4-1 on Saturday to get within six points of a Conference South play off place with games in hand, I wonder what Haringey Borough and Hendon are thinking having treated him shabbily when he was at Coles Park and Claremont Road. Rhodes
I see that Takumi Ake is all over the Non League Today Website like a rash following his high profile move to Newport County: http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?&newsmode=FULL&nid=58839
Rhodes
Quote: One of the surprise results of Wednesday night`s list of pre-season friendlies came at Spytty Park where Blue Square South club Newport County beat Premier League Stoke City 2-0. Second half strikes from Danny Rose and Paul Cochlin inflicted the suprise result on the Potters, who rarely threatened the Exiles, despite fielding a number of players with first-tam experience, including goalkeeper Steve Simonsen, Abdoulaye Faye, Danny Pugh and Ibrahima Sonko. Are you sitting down folks, a Takumi Ake inspired Newport County triumphed 2-0 over Premier League Stoke City last night in a pre-season friendly at Spytty Park. If you consider it was less than four years ago that a wide eyed Takumi was standing in the car park at Coles Park with his suit cases having just stepped off a flight from Tokyo it goes to show how far he has come.
