We had chances to kill them off in the first half and didn't take them. Admittedly they had a couple of good chances late on and did hit the bar but on reflection 1-0 at half time was about right. Two good chances wasted early in the second half, either of which had gone in it would have been game over I reckon. Our failure to convert was always gonna cost us and you could see them scoring on the break as we have no pace at the back, something which needs addressing I feel. Their keeper made a couple of really good saves and to be fair a draw was hardly a disaster, but to be in contention we will need to win our home games. Good crowd, team played reasonably well, and three points on Saturday will lift the spirits.

Have to say disappointed by the way we played tonight,I think we let them control midfield by trying the long ball,there keeper was out of this world,saved at least 4 that on other times would have been certain goals.As for the ref,think he should go away and read the rules.

I thought we were unlucky not to win today even though we were not that great. We were just ok, East Thurrock made us work hard and i knew they would as they are a very hard working side. The ref did not help matters today and even though i would love to we cant blame it all on the ref. There was a period in the second half that we were rushing the play and was pushing the ball and during this period we conceded as they were forcing us to make mistakes. Even their goal was bit dodgy as there was foul in the build up. For the next game if we are 1-0 up we need to hold the ball up and be patient and work around them to create chances instead of working through them. We also need to get stuck in more. The positives from today was that there were times when we kept the ball well in midfeild and we looked dangerous on the attack. We need work a lot harder from now on if we want to get out of this league. All in all it is not disastrous by any means.
