Superb performance from the boys.

 

They all looked fired up after the miserable performance on Saturday.

 

Got to stay with four at the back. OK we might concede a few more goals but we'll also win more games.

 

MOM Ana, not only for his goals but for the amount of running and effort he put in for the 90 minutes. Closely followed by Jarvo and Woody.

 

Oh, and I don't want to see G in defence anymore this season!!!

Ani man of the match for me, worked very hard again. Alexis looked good and G looked a lot more effective on the right in a 4-4-2. Although he still had to do quite a bit of defending, Dell linked with him well. Keeper also had a very good game.

very good performance last night, yes against a poor side but itll boost some confidence. thought everyone tried really hard, but we were lucky on sosme occasions.

wallace did well up front til he went off injured, and harris and ani looked good up front in the last 20 or so. defence looked surprisingly good despite the fact we played a 4-4-2, and the midfield did well whipping in some good crosses and taking on the defence.

overall a very promising night and a good time to get the first win of the season with some really tough games to come.

To me, the difference was more than the formation change...................Belief and Desire!

Ok we played not the greatest side in the world, and they could have scored themselves a few times on the break, BUT, we tried, did not cave in when they had there little spell at the start of the second, and we played as a TEAM! Thought we still lack a little pace at the back, and also thought Leach was bailed out by Jarvis and Woody a few times, but I am knit picking.

Dell and G linked up well as did Mason and woody.Some of the passes Mason, G, and Alexis were pinging about were fantastic.All three strikers, Alexis, and Mason were superb, for me Woody was MOM. Was everywhere and made some great tackles.

 

Ref was a complete homer although he missed Jarvis's push for the first Goal!

Some of the defending, particularly in the first half was apalling. The amount of times they had one, sometimes even two, spare men around our 18 yard box was scary. That said, it improved significantly in the second half and a lot of it will have come from that back four not having played together before.

leigh mason...superb...my mom...by far...his passing was incredible, some 30 yard passes to feet..well done leigh and the team...

 

(leyton won 3-nil last night too...confidence does wonders....up the rebels...)

agree with garys points.our two centre-half are not blessed with any pace.will be intresting too see if daly gets back into the side infront of jarvis or leach.

I seem to remember a card being shown so I asked around and everyone seemed to think it was Jarvis. However it was down the other end of the field so it could of been something else <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
