Probably at least three of them have slit their wrists now, because they ran out of programmes...

League

Beaumont Athletic 1(1-1)1 Stansted

Kadir Jama 26m Att 165 Lincoln Manderson 33m

A totally inspired Beaumont Athletic unit with a few changes from Saturday's side, entertained the excellent first night crowd at the Mile End Stadium in their opening home game and showed signs of a more positive approach to their new Senior football life with a 1-1 draw against player/Manager Tony Mercer's Stansted. With the mighty back-drop of the Docklands skyscrapers and floodlight sports pitches all around , the scene was not unlike a Monday night in a New York City ballpark with an equivalent atmosphere and with the 100% effort from both teams , gave everyone a night to remember.

In response to the question of who was present at tonights game ( and it became more like 180/200 as the night wore on ) it was great to see such a healthy Home crowd rather than just first night hoppers and that home crowd included many of the fair sex which can only be good for the league. After three games I feel it is unjustified to make negative comments on any side but I suppose that's democracy so let's see how it all pans out ! At least its got everyone talking ESL !

Sorry mate - no offence meant.
We all have to start somewhere.
I wish them well and hope they have a successful season.
