In my post Boreham Wood 1 v Billericay Town 1, I wondered if I was at the wrong game last saturday and I can now confirm that I was. The Boreham Wood web site has named Michael Cox as the man of the match...the no. 2 that was struggling to keep his feet when Nathan went in for a header....the same no 2 that we were convinced was trying to get Nathan Elder sent off!!!

 

Obviously to be awarded MOM you don't need to jinx gracefully past a right back and cause all sorts of problems to the centre of a defence by putting over difficult to defend crosses, like their left winger did on a number of occassions....or even put in a solid goalkeeping performance and save a penalty (fair nuff, we scored from the rebound) and keep out a last gasp one on one, or even score a goal (ahem!!!)....no, to win MOM all you have to do is fall over...sorry, sorry Mr. Cox, I'll quote from your clubs web site...[/i] "looked after the highly dangerous and powerful Nathan Elder tirelessly all afternoon" - yep, so tirelessly, you had to lie down on the ground and have a kip.

 

I must admit, as I read further, I was relieved to find that I was, indeed at the same game....and I quote
