I have recieved this from a Oxford fan that does there fanzine and was wondering if anyone would like to help him out:

 

The email is as follows:

 

Hi there. I write for the Oxford United fanzine OxTales and I am hoping to prepare an article for the new season to include info about all the clubs we will meet in the Conference. Generally I can get your history from your website but I'd be very grateful if you could provide any quirky, offbeat facts about your club or town eg characters from the past, perhaps players who have been arrested at halftime or had two wives at the same time - anything slightly unusual or that will raise a smile! And the more unusual the better!

 

Can you also suggest a local landmark or attraction that away fans could take in when visiting your town (again, offbeat and unusual would be good!)

 

Could you also tell me in what League/Division/Position your club (or it's previous incarnation) finished the 1985/86 season.

 

Can you also name some previous players who went on from your club to find fame and fortune or noteriety elsewhere.

Visit the Pocahontas statue. It's no suprise that the most historical figure this town has to offer was an immigrant.

We finished bottom of the Southern League Premier Division and were of course relegated.

Jimmy Bullard who is now assessing what a fool he has been by moving to Fulham.
