Reserves Saturday

I watched the reserve game saterday. Though i missed the 1st 10 minutes or so i was surprised by some of the quality of play by a Margate side only competing in there second game together. Two players stood out for me. A young boy wearing no 2 on his back and playing in the right wing back position( couldnt find out his name), he had pace, and ability to go round also could tackle.

Ramsgates(1st half) keeper. A tall well built young man with good hands(Massive, picked up a ball like Pat Jennings)very professional in attitude and looks.

I do not wish to pick on any one as i do not know the circumstances of there being in the team but we should have won if we had the Rams stopper.

The fist half keeper reminded me of the guy we had on loan from Thurrock.

You could not fault our second half sub keeper, i will only say in style he looked a lot like Hasim Deen in his only appearance for us.

I general the team played well, if a certain BB had put in a little more effort (as when he had got his breath back he occasionally did) then the lads would have won.

As for attention to detail. One of the better Rams players went down in a lot of pain second 1/2, the ball was duly put out and every one waited for the rams bag man/stroke any one to run on to give attention. After a couple of minutes when no one was forth coming the Gate bag man ran on and treated him. Talking to a knowledgeable Rams fanatic next to me he said they didn't have one for the reserves and that the management wasn't present either as he was at the V concert.

I think he must have been the one who scored into top corner from edge of penalty area

anyone know who he is?

I see the under 18s didnt fare so well though.
