As a returning fan that has been used to the slick professionalism of a Premiership club I find the whole thing a farce. And although it is not going to stop me coming back (the quality of the football is excellent) I think it portrays a bad image to other such supporters who will be laughing all the way back to The Bridge, Emirates, Upton Park etc. and not returning. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/afro.gif" alt="" />

Just get rid of the mat.

Remember the "Penalty Prize" on the "The Big Match"

A penalty shoot out competition played by kids against top keepers such as Shilton, Clemmence etc.

The final was at Wembley in front of 100,000, before the Laegue cup final.

Didn't use a mat then, and Wembley nor the players complained.

Indeed your wishes have come true. For those of you who wern't there (or were in the bar!!,) A cone was used.... although still none of the of the shots got close to the bar....

As the money gets more (£160 vs grays on the 12th!) more and more people will try it out; fortysomethings will have a crack themselves instead of giving their ticket to a five-year old. If I win one, no child is having my ticket! Muahahahaaaaa
