Lovely to meet old friends and familiar favourites, felt a different and most pleasant atmosphere that bodes well for the future, Not that we ever had Jeff King problems but his hangers on were guilty at times of changing the atmosphere in a negative manner.

The football was top draw in its attempts to keep the Canvey tradition (on-the-floor) alive, there will be tougher tests and down times this term but the football future looks most promising.

At the back we will be caught out by lack of good covering habits and our high paced mid-field will struggle at that pace for a full season come winter conditions but the obvious desire to succede will overcome any short falls.

The outstanding impression was one of a bright football future supported by a go-ahead club management and lively support.

Thoroughly enjoyed renewing my Canvey experience.
