Sunday F A Cup

To be honest it was one of the most brutal things I have ever seen on a football pitch.

Side were strolling it when the incident happend. Clacton got one back after that and it looked a little dodgy for a while. He let his side down big time.

He was changed and had left the ground in less than 10 mins. I can only think the Side management told him where to go

One Nick Wettner....game was going through the motions with the 'Side' 2-0 up and myself and Lightweight were in the 'executive box' multi-tasking watching the football with one eye and the cheating P****s on Sky with the other...

Suddenly it all blew up in the middle of the park, Not sure what sparked said rush of blood, but a Clacton player suddenly hit the deck and Wettner totally lost it and swung his boot at the player.

From our vantage spot it definitely looked like it was his head the received the blow, but further questioning of Lge and Mrs Lge Chairpeeps said it may of been his back.

However, I digress....NW aware of what was about to come, tore his shirt off and walked off, with the referee in hot pursuit waving the obligatory red card...

Five minutes later, the ashen-faced player went storming past us with his kit and got into his car.

Nice looking Merc aa it happens, champagne coloured......he took about five attempts to start said vehicle (despite his mother trying to placate him) and off he went.

So either he had his tail between his legs due to embarrassment, or Fenny has told him to get on his bike (or in his Merc) due to the severity of his outburst..

Oh and by the way, after the kerfuffle & shemozzle had calmed down, Clacton promptly pulled a goal back, this after looking the worse senior side I have seen for many a year (no laughing at the back please) and then were unlucky not to take the tie to a replay.

As i wasn't there i can't comment, but i have spoken to John at Side and he informs me that what happened from Nick was because he recieved a punch/smack in the head first from a Clacton player. He was not asked to leave but it was felt best to get him away to cool down and so his parents helped in that situation.

Well fone to Side apprently they payed well and to Leon for scoring and sending us through!

I think evryone there was a bit sickend by what happend, what ever the provocation. I felt he let his side down, and most definitely himself. He's not the first and will not be the last. Let's hope he learns from it.

There is nothing worse than having a loose cannon in the side. ( No pun intended )
