Lato
I think thats a 1978 possibly 1982 kit. The balding winger played in three world Cup finals series and scored in all three, a feat managed by only the top echelon of world players, Pele, Uwe Seeler, David Beckham, Ronaldo are the ones that immediately spring to mind but I am sure there are others. Even Takumi Ake hasn't manged that!

Rhodes
Lato - Well I thought you would know whether it was 1978 or 1982 for definite being a conneuseur of the beautiful game. I honestly don't know why you are giving me such a rough ride over Takumi, he seems to have got under your skin for some reason possibly for his alledged Klinnsmann antics which never held any water with me, if you are blatantly and maliciously scythed down from behind every time you touch the ball you're bound to go over like a sack of spuds. Lato
Judging by Lato's lack of hair i nthe picture I'd go for 1982. There's nothing alleged about Ake's diving, I've seen it remember...even his own side looked appalled by some of his antics when you played at our place. He lost them good possession many times in what was a tight game thanks to trying to con the ref instead of looking to play. To be honest the names Junior Fung, Heny Haarstrup and Jean Marie Okita worried me more when I saw them on the Haringey team sheet
GRS67
Henry Haarstrup? is he the same guy who was at Kingsbury last season, allegedley getting 'big money' at Kingsbury and failing to deliver on the pitch.
Lato
could well be. He looked a useful player at Haringey but I thought he was playing at Cheshunt or somewhere like that.

GRS67
I saw him play for Kingsbury v Edgware last season, big black guy, I think he came from ware.
HTFCew
He got sent off playing for Ware against us in the AMT, then Kingsbury played him in the same competition when he was cup tied, which is why Edgware made it to the knock out stages. Lato
thats not very clever. Anyone heard anything from the Kingsbury camp this year.

To be honest the names Junior Fung, Heny Haarstrup and Jean Marie Okita worried me more when I saw them on the Haringey team sheet About 4 years ago Henry Haarstrup (under Mike Antionades) would win games for Haringey on his own! Awsome talent, however probably needs a good manger to help him rediscover his form if as you say he hasn't been deliverying the goods! Junior Fung also a very good player on his day, there where times when Haringey Borough would field a team capable of winning the league around that time, however chances where the next week they would field a team that would finish bottom! Takumi would still have got into the best Haringey side over the last 5 years in my humble opinion though!
Lato
Fair enough Rak. I've not seen Haarstrup play for a while but I remember him doing well for Haringey. I think Haringey always had gifted individuals but just like you said it was getting them to all play together and at the same time.
Rhodes
Rak - Are you serious, surely Takumi is one of the best, if not the best players, Haringey have had in their entire hundred year history. Was he at the game yesterday, I thought I might have seen him running round the pitch when I arrived about 12.45.

Hmmm, well I have played there and I know a few others who have played there, to be honest he has yet to prove he is the best. There are players that have done more for Haringey Borough in the past and there are players who have played for Haringey and moved on to bigger and better things then Takumi has (currently). Maybe in a couple of years that debate could be opened, however at this stage I can't agree with you on that one!
Lato
Surely Ricky Otto and Terry Naylor must be up there especially Otto. I never saw Otto play for Haringey but the player who impressed me most was Jean Marie Okita a big strong centre forward who played in the late 90s. He totally ripped us to shreds on a muddy December afternoon at Grosvenor vale to give Haringey a 2-0 lead but unfortunately his colleagues let him down, and we scored three goals in the final twenty minutes to secure a vital win. I think he went onto play for Tilbury and possibly Barking.
Rhodes
Rak - Okay thanks, I respect that as you have been involved with Haringey Borough for some considerable time along with Julian although I certainly never saw anybody better when I was there. No doubt Lato and Potters Bar Town will be putting their twopennysworth in shortly.
