Who was..........

in reply to the not the real enfield supporter about after the game, i did not hurl abuse at the ref. I told him he was the worse ref i had seen in years and he was a disgrace to the badge he was wearing, which i still think is true.

By the way, what internal action will the not real enfield take against the no. 5?

I must admit,i didn't see the incident.Did the Town No5 receive a yellow card? Was a foul given?..etc. I certainly didn't see the Hornchurch players complaining about anything.

What was your view of the incident,Was it deliberate foul play? How may other Hornchurch fans can coroberate this?

If it was a deliberate elbow, then i totally condeme it,but action by the manager can only be taken if HE spotted the clash,AND considered it deliberate and violent conduct.

was right in front of us lovely stuff, wasn't a very nice thing to do. think of the children who were at that match who are probably taking each others eyes out in the playground after the shocking example set out by your ANIMAL of a number 5. the ref BOTTLED it, despite being asked not to. as i said to the ref at the time, HE'S GOT TO GO, but the ref didn't even look at his lino and i believe that ntr enfield got a free kick. not allowed to bleed on another player i assume.

as for internal action - that's nothing to do with us.

it has already been taken. we bought him a pint.

he was lucky not to be red carded i thought, but must have known that the ref was so clueless with decisions for both sides, that there was a fair chance if he hacked the legs away from your defender, that the defender would be sent off.

more frustration than malice i thought, couldn't reach the ball so kicked the player. fair enough i thought. hardly sight threatening...

I thought his second challenge on the same player (that went unpunished) a few minutes later was worse.A knee high studding, long after the ball had been played.

But as i say, we always defend our own players ,whilst slating the oppo's players. That human nature. But i agree that the ref was awful.I'm afraid that sort of display will probably be the norm, rather than the exception this season. At least a year in the ESL should have harderned you to such incompetent refereeing.

All of us saw it behind the goal. It was pretty blatant and should have been a straight red. But the ref missed it because he was .....well, I can't find an excuse that is possibly plausible, but he seemed to suggest that our bloke deliberately butted your number 5's elbow in an attempt to get him sent off. Bearing in mind the bloodflow and obvious pain he suffered it was good work. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

........your fan behind the goal who threw a load of abuse at the ref at the end? He then had a go at me when he heard me comment that we deserved a draw.

Lighten up fella! you just won three points

I think that Bob maybe getting some unjustified stick here (reputations, and all that).

Perhaps you would like to describe this 'fan' Mr H.

If he had a light blue top and a baseball cap on then he (as everyone will tell you) was Bob. However, if it was the skin-head in the dark blue t-shirt then it was me....... "FELLA" !

Other posts on this forum clearly prove that the ref might not have had the best of games (well what's one missed elbow - which could have resulted in a sending off and another missed opportunity for a sending off of your 'keeper in the penalty incident). In addition, he made several other cr*p decisions FOR BOTH SIDES (just ask Jerome - your 'keeper - he too had a similar opinion of the ref !).

Anyway, the 3 points might have been totally irrelevant had your number 5 fractured our mans eye socket, with his elbow, and it was this little fact that I was trying to point out to the dumb tw*t............if it was me that you were referring to, of course.

As for having a go at you, then this was a combination of myself and Bob (so take your pick), and we merely turned around in amusement at your total mis-reading of the game.

Yes you hit the woodwork twice, but they - together with your goal - were the only efforts on target (or anywhere near our goal). How many efforts did we have (was your keeper man of the match for you) ?...........and of course with another referee you would have been down to 10 men by half time, and down to 9 men for the final 20mins.

So what was that you were saying about deserving a draw !!

Look forward to meeting you down at the Bridge for the return...........FELLA

I didn't see the elbow incident but if it happened and was intentional then Tickner should have been punished and ETFC should take action. I agree that John should have been sent off as I have checked out the video clip on your website. My point was on the balance of play, we just about deserved a point from the game. Maybe the word abuse was wrong as I cannot remember the actual language used. What I do remember was someone screaming at the ref. I was not aware that that person was having a go re the elbow incident as I did not see it and was not aware of something so serious until later that evening. If you don't like me calling you "fella" then I will refrain from doing so. I was merely pointing out that you had your first three points and should be happy with that. I enjoyed the afternoon and it was good to meet a few of your fans who frequent these fora and yes I am looking forward to the return at the Bridge as I feel that our two sides will be title contenders at the end of the season.
