Echo the thoughts re: BB.

Sometimes good management is reconciling differences and bringing the best out of your 'mavericks'.

We will never be privy to the inside story,so possibly out of order to speculate, but have to say that BB's timing sems a bit unfortunate ,once RT has worked hard and added to the squad.

One thing is certain though, that with 50-55 games to be played,Bertie will be needed .

Can he now be afforded however with what is now a decent sized squad.

I guess that depends on having both a wining side to keep attendances up,and in whatever small way we can, supporters contributing either time ,money or effort to help the cause

A bit uncertain on the central defence issue.

Can only but agree that we were exposed quite badly yesterday, but not sure what solution is as you can only play 10 outfield players!

If anything, i thought the midfield did not keep possession long enough and do enough to protect/relieve pressure on the defence yesterday, and defence does start with midfield.

Game was played at a very fast pace however testerday -hope the guys are'nt too knackered for Tuesday.

Credit to both sides for keeping that pace up for 90 mins

Even in first half with RT there, winning most balls, we were exposed a few times in defence, so can't just blame JD and CW in scond half.

On balance, i'd rather have a couple of big crunching guys like JD and CW in defence who knock the ball into row Z .Most games will be played on soft pitches as opposed to yesterdays type of game, where pace will not be such a big factor.

I also recall yesterday ,late in first half, JD making a great tackle when in a one on one situation late in first half

It was also CW first game and understandably nervous.

I remember seeing a very raw 6'7'' centre half play for Woking about 5 years ago and he made quite a few errors-'Luke Oliver'- developed into the England semi-pro centre half.

Anton Ferdinand as also heavily criticised when first came into West ham team.

Its difficult one,as if players have potential, you need to perservere, but can cost you points.

I keep on trying to remember aswell, that whilst we want perfection, these players are part time, and the reason they are at non league is that they are not quite good enough 100% of the time to play league level, so mistakes do occur.

What you do want though is concentration, and that does go awol a bit too often

I really think though that midfield needs to do a bit more, although there again,Protheroe and Abbott in particular worked hard yesterday, and as season progresses and we need to 'get down and dirty'in the winter slogs, there is probably no better man to have around than McKimm as long as he remains 'Up for It'.

Can't really see how we can now add to the squad either as must be close to budget limit, plus despite only seeing him for 25 minutes, on that 25 mins, i would advocate that there already is a good and quick defender in the squad in Luke Williams

JD "DOES" hoof the ball into row Z MM or havent you noticed! l.o.l. Admittedly sometimes the aim is worthwhile & appropiate.!

The concentration thing was our stumbling block yesterday I agree.Get that sorted & we are almost there.I also agree that being 5 up after 32 minutes does leave that open for inclusion in a game. But having said that it does need addressing I think.

Bertie was reported to have turned up to play for Trotty today or yesterday but was told he was to play in the reserves.

I know someone will correct me if I am wrong but Bertie got a 3 match ban at the end of last season and we only played 2 games. Therefore, he still had 1 game to go so he could not have played today anyway.

Corrected as requested or foretold!
My apologies to Melvin!
