That Elbow

This ref was poor, giving us decisions that we didnt deserve and vice versa. But that elbow takes the pi$$, the ref werent that far away, and he made the no5 go and get his shirt sorted cos he had blood on his elbow. That was the most malicious and intentional elbow i have ever seen in my life.

well it looked bad but sometimes the refs are too close....I do agree tho' that he made some strange decisions and when a player goes down with 5 stitches and the opposing player gets sent to the bench to wipe the blood off his elbow and no foul is given (penalty in this case) it is stretching 'benefit of the doubt' a little

Talking of Brutal.Whats with the Urchins No14? As he came running onto the pitch,my mate who knows him quite well, said to me that he is a really nice fella in the bar,but an absolute thug on the pitch.

 

His discription was spot on.In the ten minutes he was on,he got nowhere near the game, apart from succeeding in cutting Towns No4 in half,on two seperate occassions.The first,a late Shin-cruncher got him a yellow.But a dreadfully late studding a few minutes later was not cautioned.

 

Ps..Nice to see a couple of EFC 'blasts from the past' in your squad.Andy Tomlinson and Jamie Southon.Tommo could have been the non-league Paul Scholes, if only his attitude and desire had better.

Burbs tackle wasn't clever, but compared to the elbow it was a bit handbagesque. No. 5 should have been cautioned already at that point, but hey ho, it's non league and the refs deserve a break now and then.

If the 'elbow' was that bad, why did none of your players appear to be the slightest bit upset? Normally if the players think there has been a deliberate elbow all hell breaks loose.

I think they call it restraint combined with professionalism. Number 5 knew exactly what he was up to and our number 7 found out with a cracked head. But all is fair in love and war eh.
