James Pinnock-great performance today

Whilst DH will probably get most of plaudits for his hat-trick,and deservedly so, my MOM was James Pinnock (followed believe it or not by SCS who made a few vital saves at the right time, incl one after 3 minutes to prevent Worthing taking lead.

Pinnock was everywhere today.

Superb performance, and hardly misplaced a ball-linked midfield to attack.,then was in attack .

I never reealised he had a turn of pace either.

He was superb.

Well played JP

Abbot i.m.o did well but could have done a little better I thought at times but he WAS overshadowed i.m.o quite clearly I thought, by some others in the side. Agree that PINNOCK was the best player on the park today in the outfield, again i.m.o. Chalmers-Stevens equally as good in goal.

Yes,they ALL did their bit today GW. But in different eyes there are different players who caught the eye. No disputing that the first 30 minutes were exceedingly good by ALL.But some things did fall short later in the game I thought & some players were seen to be a little less prominent & more careless in that second period.

It wont take away from the overall performance but some people, like myself, look for these things.Sorry about being picky but thats me.It may be hard to believe after todays performance but there is still some improvement to be had there.

Again, everyone played their part.

Agree that Abbot should get special praise, but also very pleased to see Greg Oates have a better than solid game ,and above all looked like his passion was rekindled-shouting at the others like he 'really wanted it'.

Greg may have lost a bit of pace, but very sound defensively, and overall ,we may be better off if Greg plays a bit more defensively and not get caught out too far upfield.
