Overall a draw was a fair result. Played well in the first half but the first 10 minutes of the second we were very flat and got caught out from a corner.

Made two changes Lee Hodges and Jo Flack for Warren Ryan and Danny Morgan and we picked up again. Went one all from a penalty (Lee Hodges) and then should've won it through Flack going one on one with the keeper. Keeper made a good save.

Difficult to say who was man of the match, but I would go for Matt Game.

Team: McMahon, McSweeney, Kerrigan, Blewitt, Heffer, Dormer, Game, Hunter, Elder, Morgan (Flack), Ryan (Hodges)

SNU: Collins, Swaine, Capleton

Thought we defended pretty well throughout - Impressed with Blewitt at centre back. Midfield did OK defensively, but didn't create enough going forward - maybe Hodges should have started? Forwards worked hard, but there was a lack of quality ball from the midfield so not going to criticise too much. Thought the double substitution worked well for us, introduction of Flack gave us a bit of pace in attack which we had lacked. Midfield of Dormer - Ryan - Hunter - Game is a bit one-paced imho, all good players but not sure that's the blend I would go for.

One paced? Warren is like a Gazelle at times. Matt Game was my MOTM and I thought those runs Dorms made were superb. If Dorms maintains his midfield place and continues to make those runs I can see him scoring double figures this season.

Boreham Wood has a superb ground and facilities, their hospitality was great and a nice friendly bunch as well. So all in all, a good day. (Anything but a loss first game was good enough for me) and lets give BW some credit, because I can't see them being anywhere near a relegation battle come season end.

I’m looking forward to tomorrow already…C’mon you Blues
