Ground Info Needed

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm the author of the Internet Football Ground Guide, which can be found at: www.footballgroundguide.co.uk

I am currently putting a page together about your ground and wonder if you can give me a couple of bits of info:

1. Is there a car park at the ground? If so, roughly how large is it? and is there a charge for using it?

2. Recommendations for drinking? Club House (inside the ground?), pub near ground or railway station?

3. What is the name of the covered terrace which runs down one side of the ground?

Cheers!

Duncan

I cant answer all of your questions but here are some of the answers,

there is a pub inside the ground(recently refurbished and pretty good) and a opub just outside of the ground(the plough) which from sources i know is quite good. Many of your answers can be found at www.confguide.com/cgi-bin/index.mpl/gravesend , this will give you all of the information on travel, photos, location etc. Not sure about the size of the pitch though.

Shouldn't we propose some names for them then?

How does "The Portway Stand" grab you?

Jacko could also be in contention (certainly IF he can take the club appearances record)

In a similar vein......I'd personally like to rename the carpark "The Mal Watkins Carpark" for the amount of times he used to hit it...

Perhaps the stretcher could be sponsored by (or in the honour of) Wayne Schweiso as I think he probably holds the record for putting most people on it! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/bounceblue.gif" alt="" />
