Atmosphere

Recommended Posts

I may be thinking out loud, but wouldn't the atmosphere at Clarence Park improve significantly if the 'singing lot' moved to the Coca Cola Stand, where no doubt, a roof makes any amount of noise much louder.

I realise that some people prefer to stand behind the goal (inluding myself) but just a suggestion to help make Clarence Park a bit more intimidating. Also we would be closer to the pitch and the away fans when segregated which would spark a bit of rivalry.

I also realise that the 'old guard' who usually stand there wouldn't want to move, just as much as the 'younger fans' perhaps wouldn't want to move to the side so thats understandable. It's just any singing done behind the goal, particularly on Tuesday, doesn't make much impact.

Anyone have any thoughts on this???

Why not put a cover over the terracing behind both goals, Problem solved

We had quite a good atmosphere under the Cola Stand against Aldershot last time they game to our place, if I remember rightly.

Yep, won 2-0 with our very own Steve Castle scoring.

Remember the terrific atmosphere as well. Surely we can create that again?

With segregation, changing ends depending on the way we are kicking has been ruled out. I was surprised how few moved round to watch the first half from as close as possible to the goal we were attacking - the terracing past the Coca Cola stand. Perhaps had we been kicking that way in the second half instead, more would have moved round?
